BehaviorConnect is a professional networking platform designed for behavioral therapists and mental health professionals to:

  • Upload and access professional materials
  • Collaborate on professional development

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
  • One person or entity may not maintain multiple accounts

3.2 Professional Verification

Users claiming professional credentials may be required to provide verification documentation. False representation of credentials is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination.

4. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
  • Violate any professional codes of ethics or conduct
  • Share confidential patient or client information
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Upload malicious files or viruses
  • Spam or excessively promote products or services
  • Scrape or harvest user data without permission
  • Interfere with the platform's operation or security

5. Content and Intellectual Property

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you post on BehaviorConnect. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on the platform.

5.2 Respect for Others' Content

You must respect the intellectual property rights of others. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share.

5.3 Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, approve, reject, or remove any content at our discretion, including but not limited to:

  • Posts with media attachments (subject to approval)
  • Uploaded files (subject to admin review)
  • Content reported by other users

6. Groups and Organizations

6.1 Creating Groups

Authenticated users may create groups. Group creators are responsible for managing their groups and ensuring compliance with these terms.

6.2 Organizations

Organizations represent professional entities. Organization owners and managers have additional responsibilities for content oversight and member management.

7. Privacy and Confidentiality

You acknowledge that you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any sensitive information you share. BehaviorConnect is NOT a HIPAA-compliant platform and should NOT be used to share protected health information (PHI) or personally identifiable patient/client information.

8. Disclaimers

8.1 Professional Advice

BehaviorConnect is a networking platform, not a source of professional advice. Content shared on the platform does not constitute professional consultation or therapeutic services.

8.2 Service Availability

We provide the platform "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BehaviorConnect and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the platform.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Abuse of the platform or other users
  • Any other reason at our sole discretion

You may also terminate your account at any time through your account settings.
